Sunset

I hope that my audacity to critique your piece does justice to your work and effort.

I would like to critique then in three areas: Space/Detail, Color/Tone and Emotion/Impact.

RE Space: I can't see a corner or area that has been overlooked or forgotten. The intricate detail of the tree/leaves as well as the clouds above in comparison with the waves and foreground with the leaves and peaks create an open space truly providing the viewer with a realistic and believable 3D experience.

RE Color/Tone: The colors and faded reds to darkened shadows adds to the 3D experience as well as the shadow provides a flawless lines of perspective to the impending sunset. Added to this, the lighted port beckoning the lonely rower in the river adds to the depth.

One thing, and I hope that I do not get crucified for this, but I do not understand the trail after the boat, nor there seem to he ripples in the water from the rowing.

RE Emotion/Impact: Warmth and quiet is palpable in this piece and the birds in the foreground, as well as the boat seem to be going home as the day is closing. This then leads me to feel at rest of a day well spent.
